Former President Barack Obama is shifting publication of his high-advance memoir until after the election, as he continues to balance his desire to promote former vice president Joe Biden's chances without stepping on his message.

The decision comes as Obama, the subject of repeated attacks by President Donald Trump three years into his term, seeks both to boost the chances of Democrats in November while preserving his own legacy. 

His book, negotiated as part of a mammoth $65 million deal with Random House that also includes former First Lady Michelle Obama, could not come out around Christmas-time, the reported.
