A man and woman at the centre of a bizarre siege north of Brisbane where they barricaded themselves inside someone else's garage and one took the other hostage have been detained.
It took police some seven hours to negotiate with the pair to give themselves up after the man armed himself with a knife and threatened the woman in Everton Hills.
The drama started just after 3am when police say they were called to an address on South Pine Road following reports of two people loitering in the area.
