A recent paper by scientists found that young adults who participated in the Internet age share more social content on their social networks than older adults.
The research will be published April 9 in the online Sociological Review and it should focus on social networks, as well as people who are older.
"Our study showed that younger Americans were more likely than older adults to visit social networks online," the researchers reported. "However, only those adults exposed to social networks were at a significantly higher risk for a stroke or cardiovascular condition, and those online they never saw were also at a significantly higher risk."
Researchers asked about about 5.3 million Web users between the ages of 18 and 30, compared to those who took the tests at age 36. They looked at Internet connection numbers of both users and not their ages.
The researchers found that younger and younger Internet users saw more news and comments on social networks, whereas older users saw less.
Some of the research revealed that the younger groups were particularly likely to visit social sites that contained "viral videos."
"These videos may increase exposure to social network stories about the people who make it or break it," they found.
But the researchers noted that no one was aware there
