The film is based on the best-selling Scholastic book series, by author Joanna Cole and illustrator Bruce Degen.
It follows Ms. Frizzle, an eccentric school-teacher who takes her class on fantastical educational field trips with the help of a magical school bus.
The bus can transform into a plane, submarine, spaceship, or surfboard, depending on the lesson.
